What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect data from you when you make a booking, use our facilities or our services, via our team, either in person, via our website and social media or over the phone.  


We ask you to fill out a consultation form in order to provide the most appropriate and safest treatment.  This form includes collecting information on your name, date of birth, gender, physical address, email address, phone number, GP information, reason for treatment, medical history and basic health & wellbeing before treatment commences for insurance purposes and is with active consent of every client.

Social Media

If you choose to connect with us via social media websites, for example FaceBook, Instagram and Twitter, we may collect your user name (which may contain your name and surname) by you “liking” or “following” our page. By connecting with us via social media websites you are bound by their terms and conditions and privacy policies.

Contact forms

Personal data will be recorded including name, email address, phone number as well as any questions, comments of appointments you might be interested in. This will be used to contact you and follow up on your enquiry.


We use Google Analytics to collect website browser data. Cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web traffic (the number of visitors and how visitors move around our Website when they are using it) and improve our Website in order to tailor it to your needs

What do we do with your data?

We use the information we collect about you to process your appointments, answer your queries, process you voucher purchases and provide our treatment and therapy services.

Your consultation forms are stored for at least seven years as per our insurance requirements.  They may be kept longer if you continue to be an active client.

Your forms are securely stored at Ginger Tree Therapies and are only accessed by staff.

We share your contact information with our appointment booking system (Get Timely), in order to be able to send appointment confirmations and reminders.  You may also receive a courtesy email from time to time if we have not seen you in a while.

PayPal may also store your purchase data if you pay by card transaction, in person or via our website when purchasing gift vouchers.

Get Timely and PayPal are also GDPR compliant.

Accessing and Amending your data.

You have the right to access and update your data as well as the right for any information we hold on you to be deleted.  Requests should be submitted in writing.

Whilst we take reasonable, appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the personal Data that you provide to us, no transmission over the internet can ever be totally guaranteed secure. Consequently, please be aware that we cannot guarantee the complete security of any personal Data that you transfer over the internet to us whilst in transit. Sending such information is entirely at your own risk. We understand how important it is to securely store any Data that you provide. We take the privacy and security of your payment and personal details very seriously. Although we take reasonable care to keep your personal Data secure, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer from unauthorised access or loss of any Data provided.
